Transportation Department Director, Brian A. Kelley
Brian A. Kelley is the Director of Transportation for Rockdale County. As the Director of Transportation, Director Kelley works with engineers and construction contractors to bring major infrastructure improvements to life by implementing best management practices regarding operations, planning, administration, financial stewardship, and intergovernmental relations. Director Kelley believes that all infrastructure projects have unforeseen challenges, but these hurdles can be cleared with proper planning and anticipation.
In Director Kelley’s previous roles, he served as a Senior Project Manager Consultant with MARTA and as Construction Manager with CSX Transportation. Director Kelley’s professional career includes managing road, highway, and heavy civil transportation projects that have involved subsurface utility engineering, rail, intelligent transportation systems, SCADA systems, bridge structures, and environmental compliance. Currently, Director Kelley is working toward his Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) designation.
Director Kelley is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Transportation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from Tennessee State University.
Director Kelley shares his life with his high school sweetheart Alicia and their two daughters. When he is not spending time or traveling with his family, Director Kelley can be found powerlifting, golfing, enjoying live music, and perfecting his culinary skills in his spare time.
