Rockdale County Courthouse Remains Open for Essential Court Business
PUBLIC NOTICE Revision Date: April 3, 2020 The Rockdale County Courthouse remains open for essential court business during the public health emergency. Every division of the Rockdale County Clerk of Superior and State Courts Office will be open for business Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however access to each service area will be restricted to scheduled appointments only. The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners held a voting session on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the Rockdale Auditorium. Sherri L. Washington was elected to the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners in November 2016 and took office January 1, 2016. She is a general practice attorney and founder of The Washington Law Group, PC. She earned her Bachelors and Master’s Degree from Savannah State University and then went on to obtain her Law Degree from Texas Southern University.
Dr. Doreen Williams was elected to the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners in November 2014 and took office January 1, 2015. She is a former small business owner and retired educator with a diverse educational background. She earned her Doctor of Education from Georgia Southern University in curriculum studies with concentrations on the role and influence of effective governments. Her master’s degree from Walden University concentrated on the effective use of technology. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in French from Brigham Young University.
