Director Webb’s goal is to create a resilient community within Rockdale County’s residential and business communities through sustainable collaborations, prevention, mitigation, and response.
The mission of the Rockdale County Emergency Management Agency is to work together to improve the quality of life for our citizens through emergency preparedness response. Thus ensuring that the citizens, employees, and visitors of Rockdale County have the necessary equipment, information, and training to keep themselves safe when an emergency occurs.
Director Webb oversees and supervises the day-to-day and emergency operations of Emergency Management to include 911 Communications and the Animal Services Divisions. All three divisions play an important role in Rockdale County. It is her initiative to bring all three divisions to the forefront of public safety.
Director Webb is not new to Rockdale County Government. She began working at Rockdale County Fire Rescue in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant. After a few short months, her passion for the fire service grew beyond that of an Administrative Assistant. Over her 25 years in the fire service, she has served as a Fire Safety Educator, Training Coordinator, EMA Specialist, Logistic Specialist, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Deputy Chief of Administration, and Deputy Chief of Operations. She currently has an associate degree in Fire Science and is working on a bachelor’s in emergency management.
Away from the office, Sharon enjoys sports, the beach, and being outdoors. She is married to Jeremy Webb, and they have three children JT, MaLynne, and Weston.
