What is your turn around time?
Results normally will be available within 24 to 48 business hours if submitted during regular working hours Monday-Friday.
What is the difference between a screening lab and a confirmation lab?
A screening lab does an initial analysis of the specimen. If it is positive for one or more of the drugs for which it is being screened, at your discretion, it can be further tested by a confirmation lab.
As a screening lab, do you offer a confirmation service?
Yes, we currently utilize two confirmation labs to confirm our positive results. There is an additional charge for this service, and those results are generally available within 7 days.
What are the advantages of choosing a screening lab versus a confirmation lab?
Confirmation services cost considerably more than screening. Screening specimens and only confirming positive results saves time and money. For many applications, confirmation is not necessary.
What is a GC/MS confirmation? What is LC/MS/MS confirmation?
GC/MS stands for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. LC/MS/MS stands for liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry. Both methods are used to confirm drug screening in the event of a positive result, with LC/MS/MS confirmations being slightly more accurate.
Why would I choose to ask for a dilution validity test only?
In the event that a client suspects he will be asked to take a instant drug test, an attempt to dilute or adulterate the specimen may occur. A dilution validity test would allow the tester to confirm whether a client has attempted to dilute his specimen.
Why should I choose lab screening over an instant test?
Lab testing is more reliable and accurate, eliminates errors in reading an instant test, and also provides additional security in knowing positive results are tested a second time to confirm initial screening results. There is less chance for adulteration and tampering with the inclusion of dilution validity. Instant testing is not nearly as accurate as lab screening, which is why it is more advisable for employers to elect lab-based testing as opposed to instant testing.
