Give Thanks by Giving: Rockdale County Thanksgiving Package Food Drive

In the tradition of neighbors sharing their bounty with each other, we are asking the community to help ensure that everyone has a Thanksgiving dinner. Some Rockdale County residents are food insecure and do not know where their next meal is coming from, if you are able; please consider giving to others who may not share the same luxuries. Our goal is to help 100 families celebrate Thanksgiving. Please encourage your family, friends, and co-workers to join you in your giving. All food will be donated to the Rockdale Emergency Relief.

Giving is Easy

  1. Pick up your Bag(s): Thanksgiving Package bags can be picked up at the Johnson Park Recreation Center; 9 a.m. –8 p.m. Monday—Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m.—5p.m starting November 1, 2017.
  1. Fill your Bag(s): Fill you bag with the items on the list. Please check the items off on the bag as you pack it. Complete bags can be folded at the top and taped shut. Incomplete bags should NOT be taped shut.
  2. Deliver your Bag(s): Deliver your bags to the Johnson Park Recreation Center, Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  1. Feel Good: Knowing you helped make a difference to a family in your community who struggles with food security. This family will celebrate Thanksgiving because of your efforts.
