Rockdale County Requests Citizen Feedback on Sigman Road Corridor Study


ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. – The Rockdale County Planning and Development Department, along with the Collaborative Firm, and through a grant awarded by the Atlanta Regional Commission, has completed the Sigman Road Corridor Study.

Through multiple public workshops with stakeholders, citizens, and the general public, the study has produced recommendations on the design, zoning, and potential development along the portion of Sigman Road which the Georgia Department of Transportation is widening through the year 2024.

The Sigman Road Corridor Study Plan presents a strategic view of Sigman Road, identifying opportunities to create a gateway district beginning at I-20.

Once on the Planning and Development page, look at the second paragraph, “Special Projects”, access the page by clicking “here” link. Comments can be submitted on the Special Projects page, by scrolling to the bottom of the page and entering your information.

The Department of Planning and Development is also taking feedback from residents at two upcoming events: The Planning Commission Hearing on July 9 at 7 p.m. and at the Public Hearing on Zoning on July 28 at 9 a.m. Both events will take place in the Rockdale County Auditorium, located at 903 Main Street, Conyers, GA 30012.
