The Board of Commissioners proclaimed today, February 4, 2020, in Rockdale County as Board of Adjustment Members Appreciation Day. In the proclamation presentation, Commissioner Sherri Washington said, “we proudly recognize the service and contributions of Rockdale County Board of Adjustment members.” Four members are retiring from the board. Randy Brennan, Chairman; Jo Carter-Harbin, Vice-Chair; Iffat Walker, board member and David Hammons, board member received proclamations and recognition for their contributions to the Rockdale County Board of Adjustment.
Chairman Oz Nesbitt, Sr., said, “Rockdale County is better place because of you.” Planning and Development Director Kc Krzic also thanked the members for their service to the board. The Rockdale County Board of Adjustments conducts public hearings, requests and receives studies and reports from staff. The board reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners concerning the matters brought before them.

The strategic plan “Envision Rockdale 2020-2024” provides a roadmap for the county’s economic development initiatives. Chief of Staff Corey Hambrick provided a brief overview of the plan. The booklet is available online at the link below. Hardcopies are available at the Government Annex building.
