Rockdale residents are invited to the grand opening of Costley Mill Park on May 19 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The celebration includes food, games, music, pet adoptions and much more.
Rockdale County purchased the 77 acres in June 2017 and has made improvements to the park.
“We’re excited to welcome the public to this beautiful property,” said Jason Redmond, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation Operations. “We’re looking forward to having events and activities that the whole family can enjoy.”
Costley Mill Park is in the northern portion of Rockdale County off Highway 138. Entry to the park on the day of the grand opening is 2599 Salem Church Road.
Costley Mill is Rockdale County Parks and Recreation’s newest park. The location is known for TV and movie productions, weddings, receptions, company events, birthday parties, church functions, family reunions, and private photo shoots.
